Allow Me To Introduce Myself

I am Patty Williams and I have wanted to start this blog for YEARS. (My apologies to my friends who have heard me dream about it for far too long.) I am finally doing the dang thing. I’ve reached the point where I’m no longer letting my fears prevent me from trying new things and putting myself out there. Sure, it makes me feel vulnerable, but if I am to teach my son to grow by leaving his comfort zone, I too must do the same. I’m done overthinking this and I’m putting words on the screen! I hope it blesses those who read it.

Oof. It is hard to find words to describe myself because I don’t want to bore you or chase you off already. Here are the basics: I live in central Missouri and I’m currently 47 years old but I feel like I’m still 32. I’m the wife of a determined and kind man, the mom of a middle school athletic boy, sister to four amazing women and the youngest daughter of my wonderful parents. I would describe myself as optimistic, active, subdued, hard-working and Christian. I need quiet and time outdoors to stay happy. When I asked my 11 year old son how he would describe me as a mom, he said I’m “funny, pretty nice but not too nice so that you give me everything that I want, and you play football with me.” I’d say that’s a pretty complimentary summary!

I would love to have this blog as a creative outlet for so. many. reasons. My life is complex and I have learned so much along the way. I would love to encourage others here by sharing crafty things I make and build, personal stories about living life to the fullest and taking chances, and much more. I’m in no way an authority on anything except trying my best and using the talents I’ve been blessed with. I appreciate you stopping by!
